Fedor Emelianenko halted his three fight losing streak last weekend, defeating Jeff Monson in Russia. Following the win, M-1 Global director of operations Evgeni Kogan took to Twitter to discuss what M-1 wants to see for “The Last Emperor” next.

Sending a Tweet to UFC President Dana White, Kogan said, “Fedor vs. Velasquez in 2012, let’s make this happen. Fedor is back, and a fight [with] Cain will prove it.

White had already posted a “hell no” response on Twitter when asked by a fan if rumors of Emelianenko coming to the UFC were true, and considering the lengthy history of failed negotiations between the UFC and M-1, that’s no surprise. However, Kogan added on Twitter that M-1 simply wants to see this fight happen, and wouldn’t be asking for the same added concessions they have in the past.

Maplewood, New Jersey -  Ibtihaj Muhammad is changing the face of fencing as it is known in America as a practicing Muslim black woman competing in the sport of Fencing.  She is currently the ranked 2nd in the nation in fencing and will find out next year if she makes the US Olympic team to compete in Saber.

“Making the Olympic team shouldn’t be easy,” Muhammad said. “That’s my ultimate goal right now. It’s what I want.”
